Hi! My name is Sydney Turk, and I am from Ames, Iowa. I am a second year here at the University of Iowa, majoring in Speech and Hearing Sciences, minoring in Psychology and obtaining a certificate in Disability Studies. I hope to one day pursue a career in Speech Language Pathology, most likely in a pediatric setting. In my free time, I enjoy running, reading, hanging out with friends and spending time outdoors.  

I was drawn to the CLD Lab because I wanted to grow my knowledge of language in real life contexts. I am excited to gain new skills, connect with peers, and learn more about speech and hearing sciences as a whole!
