Es difícil entender el habla de su hijo?
Si es así, su hijo puede participar en un estudio de investigación sobre el aprendizaje de los sonidos del habla en niños bilingües. Su hijo puede ser elegible si:
- tiene entre 2 y 8 años
- habla español en casa
- tiene alguna dificultad en el uso de los sonidos del habla
El estudio consiste en completar evaluaciones de lenguaje apropiadas para su edad y participar en una intervención de aprendizaje de sonidos del habla. Las visitas de 2 a 3 veces por semana se llevarán a cabo en Wendell Johnson Speech and Hearing Center. Su participación puede durar hasta 2 meses.
Los participantes recibirán una compensación de $10 por visita, hasta $340.

Language Outcomes in Multilingual Preschoolers: A Community-Based Participatory Research Project
This project is in collaboration with the Neighborhood Centers of Johnson County. NCJC provides school programs for a uniquely diverse group of multilingual children, who have a native language other than English.
Automated phonological analysis and treatment target selection using AutoPATT
Automated analyses of speech samples can offer improved accuracy and timesaving advantages that streamline clinical assessment for children with a suspected speech sound disorder.
