I am an alumna of the University of Iowa, where I recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Science. Originally from Cary, Illinois, I plan to pursue a career in speech-language pathology and am eager to gain further experience in research that connects directly to clinical practice. I am especially interested in the Clinical Linguistics and Disparities Lab because of its focus on language, communication, and addressing disparities in care. Having worked with both older adults and children, I have seen firsthand how communication challenges can impact quality of life, and I am motivated to contribute to work that advances equitable access to speech and language services. In my free time, I enjoy reading and playing tennis.
