Evita Woolsey (she/her), B.A.

Alumni Graduate Research Assistant
Biography

Hello! My name is Evita Woolsey and I am currently a speech-language pathology graduate student. I am from Encinitas, CA and received my B.A in Speech and Hearing Science with a minor in American Sign Language from the University of Iowa. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the Clinical Linguistics and Disparities Lab! I am excited to contribute to research that focuses on assisting linguistically diverse individuals and teaching clinicians cultural responsiveness. I want to continue learning and educating others about these important aspects, as well as incorporate the lab's research findings into my own therapy sessions.

When I’m not busy with school, I enjoy spending my time outdoors in nature with friends. My extroverted side is always up for an adventure to travel somewhere new, from hiking a National Park to discovering the hidden gems of well-known cities. Although, my introverted side loves sitting down to read a good book and sip on some tea.
