Hi! My name is Emma and I am from Fayette, Iowa. I am majoring in Speech and Hearing Science with minors in ASL and Psychology, and I am pursuing a career as a speech-language pathologist. I am fascinated by the field of communication sciences and disorders, and I am excited to continue my studies! Right now, I can see myself working in a medical setting with any age group as an SLP. I currently enjoy working as a CNA with the geriatric population and individuals diagnosed with dementia. In my free time, I like to read, collect vinyl records, draw, and spend time outdoors. 

I was drawn to the CLD Lab because equity is an important value to me. I look forward to applying what I learn in the lab throughout my future career as an SLP to support and serve diverse patients and communities!
