Avala Faber is a fourth year undergrad working towards her BA in Speech and Hearing Science, with a minor in ASL and Gender, Women's, Sexuality Studies. She's the lead on the Iowa Trajectories of Language Development (ITOLD) project. Avala is passionate about research involving language abilities in adults, her trainees, and her GIF game. Avala's goal is to be an SLP for older adults, specializing in swallowing disorders and eventually work in palliative care. 

When Avala's not in the lab, you can find her in class, trying a new restaurant, or out cheering on the Hawkeyes!
