Hi! My name is Lily Thompson, and I am from Lisle, Illinois. I am a third year studying to get my BA in Speech and Hearing Sciences with a Disabilities Studies certificate and I hope to one day become a Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist! I love working and playing with children and currently volunteer at The University of Iowa Children's Hospital with the Child Life Specialists. One of my best friends from home has Down Syndrome and he has taught me so much about communication. I enjoy running, reading, and being with my friends and family!

I look forward to being a part of the CLD Lab because of the knowledge I will gain! I believe it is very important to understand the needs of your patients on a deeper level especially diverse populations. I am excited to gain more experiences to use in my future career!
